Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of PeeOV (the "App"), operated by Porcelain Labs LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account, tapping "Sign in with Apple," "Continue with Google," or otherwise using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Who can use the App

• You must be at least 17 years old (matching the App's App Store age rating) to create an account. If you are a minor in your jurisdiction, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
• You must be legally able to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction and not barred from using the App under applicable law.
• Accounts are personal to you. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials with Apple or Google secure.

2. Accounts and sign-in

• The App requires a permanent account created via Sign in with Apple or Continue with Google. We do not offer anonymous or username/password accounts.
• Your account may include a display name and a @handle. Handles are unique (case-insensitive) and first-come-first-served. We may reclaim, rename, or reserve handles that impersonate others, infringe trademarks, contain slurs, or are inactive for an extended period.
• You may sign out at any time from the Profile tab. You may request account and content deletion by contacting us at trust@peeov.app (see §12).

3. User content

The App lets you contribute:

• Bathroom entries (name and location) — these become part of a shared, public catalog other users can review.
• Reviews — a 1–5 rating, sub-ratings (splash zone, selfie score, atmosphere, privacy), an optional comment, and an optional photo.
• Photos — of the bathroom, its features, or amenities. See §5.
• Bookmarks — private to your account.
• Stall Wall graffiti tags — short text "marks" you place on a bathroom's wall canvas, optionally as a reply to another mark, optionally anonymous.
• Reactions — hearts and poops on other users' graffiti marks and photos.
• Profile information — display name, @handle, and profile photo.

Collectively, "User Content." You keep ownership of your User Content.

3.1 License to us

To operate the App, you grant Porcelain Labs LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to host, store, cache, reproduce, modify (e.g., to resize images, transcode formats, generate thumbnails, or apply moderation), publicly display, publicly perform, distribute, and create derived summaries and statistics (such as average ratings, aggregate reviews, and cluster counts) from your User Content, for the purpose of operating, providing, improving, promoting, and developing the App and our services. This license continues for as long as your User Content remains on the App and, for the limited purpose of backups and legal compliance, for a reasonable period thereafter.

3.2 License to other users

Reviews, bathroom entries, photos, graffiti tags, ratings, votes, and public profile information are visible to other users of the App and, in some cases, to the general public via previews and share cards. You grant every user of the App a non-exclusive right to view, share within the App, and interact with that content.

3.3 Your representations

By submitting User Content, you represent and warrant that:

• You created it, or you have all rights, licenses, consents, and releases needed to grant the licenses above;
• The content does not infringe or misappropriate any third party's rights (including intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or contractual rights);
• Any people identifiable in your photos have consented to being photographed and to your posting the photo publicly;
• The content complies with §4 (Acceptable use) and applicable law.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to submit content to, or use, the App to:

• Post nudity, sexually explicit content, or content sexualizing minors.
• Post another person's face, name, home address, phone number, or other personal information without their consent ("doxxing"), or images taken in contexts where the subject had a reasonable expectation of privacy (e.g., inside a stall).
• Harass, threaten, defame, or discriminate against any person or group, including on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or age.
• Post spam, advertisements, referral links, or repeated identical marks; use the App for astroturfing (fake reviews) or vote manipulation.
• Post content promoting or facilitating violence, self-harm, illegal drugs, weapons, or other illegal activity.
• Submit knowingly false, misleading, or defamatory reviews about a business or venue, or reviews written in exchange for undisclosed compensation.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the App, except to the extent applicable law permits.
• Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download App data (including the bathroom catalog, reviews, photos, or graffiti tags), or interact with our APIs in ways that bypass rate limits, authentication, or Row-Level Security policies.
• Use bots or automation to submit reviews, cast votes, place tags, or claim handles.
• Introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code; probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems without our prior written permission via a responsible-disclosure process.
• Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party terms (including Apple's App Store Terms, Google Play's Terms, and the licenses of any mapping or place data displayed in the App).

5. Photos and location data

• Photos. Photos you upload are stored on our infrastructure (currently provided by Supabase). We resize photos before upload and may generate derivative renditions. Photos attached to reviews and stall-wall content are publicly viewable within the App.
• Location. With your permission, the App uses your device's location to center the map and filter your feed. You can change or revoke this permission in your device settings at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details on what location data we collect, how it is used, and how long it is retained.

6. Community moderation

• Users may report reviews, photos, graffiti tags, and other content that violates these Terms.
• We may, at our sole discretion and without prior notice, review, refuse, edit, hide, downrank, or remove User Content — or suspend or terminate accounts — that we believe violates these Terms, applicable law, or is otherwise harmful. When a graffiti tag or review crosses our internal report thresholds, it may be hidden automatically pending review.
• We are not obligated to monitor User Content and do not endorse any opinions, ratings, or claims made by users. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for User Content.

7. Ratings, place data, and accuracy

• Bathroom locations, hours, amenities, ratings, and photos are contributed by users and derived in part from third-party data (see §9). Information may be inaccurate, out of date, or missing. Businesses may restrict access to their facilities to paying customers, staff, or the public depending on local law and their policies.
• The App is not a wayfinding, medical, or emergency service. Do not rely on the App in situations where inaccurate information could cause harm.
• Ratings and reviews reflect the personal opinions of the users who submit them. They are not statements of fact by Porcelain Labs LLC.

8. Feedback

If you send us suggestions, bug reports, or other feedback, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use that feedback without restriction or obligation to you.

9. Third-party services

The App uses services provided by third parties, including:

• Apple, Inc. — Sign in with Apple, Apple Maps, App Store distribution.
• Google LLC — Google Sign-In, Google Maps (on Android and production iOS builds).
• Supabase, Inc. — hosted database, authentication, and storage.
• Photon by komoot and OpenStreetMap contributors — place search results are © OpenStreetMap contributors, provided under the ODbL.
• Expo — App runtime and update infrastructure.

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or their content. Third-party terms may include restrictions on how you use map tiles, place data, and account information — those restrictions apply to you as an App user.

10. Intellectual property

The App, its user interface, source code, trademarks (including the "PeeOV" name and logo), and all content we create are owned by Porcelain Labs LLC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except as expressly permitted by these Terms, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App.

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.

11. Copyright complaints (DMCA)

If you believe content in the App infringes your copyright, send a written notice to trust@peeov.app that includes:

1. Your physical or electronic signature. 2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed. 3. Identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient for us to locate it (e.g., a screenshot and the bathroom or handle involved). 4. Your contact information (address, phone number, email). 5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law. 6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on its behalf.

We may terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe.

12. Account termination and content deletion

• You may stop using the App at any time. You may request deletion of your account and associated User Content by emailing trust@peeov.app. Deletion requests will be processed within a commercially reasonable time, except that we may retain content required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or backup purposes for a limited period.
• We may suspend or terminate your account, or remove your content, at any time and without notice if we believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law, or if your use of the App exposes us or other users to legal, security, or reputational risk.
• Some content — such as bathroom entries and reviews attributed to your handle at the time of posting — may remain visible even after your account is deleted, in de-identified or attributed-to-a-generic-label form, to preserve the integrity of the shared catalog.

13. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Porcelain Labs LLC disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and any warranties arising out of course of dealing or usage of trade.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, free of viruses or other harmful components, or that any defects will be corrected. We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of any User Content, place data, or ratings.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Porcelain Labs LLC, its affiliates, or its licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, goodwill, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to these Terms or the App, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), statute, or any other legal theory, and whether or not we have been informed of the possibility of such damage.

Our aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or related to these Terms or the App will not exceed the greater of (a) US $100 or (b) the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. If applicable law does not allow the limitations above, they will apply to you to the fullest extent permitted.

15. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Porcelain Labs LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with: (a) your use of the App; (b) your User Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any third-party right, including intellectual property, privacy, or contractual rights.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you through the App or by another reasonable means before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the App after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the changes.

18. Miscellaneous

• Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App and supersede any prior agreements on that subject.
• Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
• No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
• Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
• Apple App Store. If you obtained the App from the Apple App Store, the Apple-required terms in Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also apply. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms as to your license and may enforce them against you.
